Aquarium celebrate its 50th birthday this year

At the Aquarium du Québec, come and discover more than 10 000 specimens representing 300 species of marine mammals, fishes, invertebrates, amphibians and reptiles from the Boreal to the Arctic regions. Our new exotic fish species, in a wide variety of colors, will add enjoyment to your visit.

The Aquarium celebrate its 50th birthday this year. Experience something unique at the Aquarium and take part in indoor and outdoor activities. In the main building, discover the 350,000-litre Deep Sea tank, walk underneath the Pacific waters and observe more than 3000 specimens such as the red sea urchin, sunflower star, red irish lord, wolf-eel and many rockfish species.

In our outdoor park, learn about our marine mammals like polar bears, several species of seals, Atlantic and Pacific walruses: a unique cohabitation in the world!

Enjoy the animated mealtimes of our star residents. Discover the little-known world of scientific research. Touch some marine invertebrates like a starfish, a California sea cucumber or a sea urchin. From the top of the cliff, observe the beauty of the St. Lawrence River and the two bridges that span it. The Aquarium du Québec offers visitors an unforgettable experience all year long! L’Aquarium, a “Tide of pleasures!” Opening daily at 10am.

The Aquarium is open every day – even on public holidays – from 10am to 4pm. Please note that from June to September, the Aquarium will close at 5pm.
